In a wink and 2009 shall come to pass..just like that.and there evryone's practically gagging to usher in the new year of 2010..
Tho it may sound a teensy tiny ridiculous to say so but yeah..i'd admit i'm scared for once of the future..I hadnt realise that those 5 years i spent frolicking around high school like some kinda dream was actually like a sand timer..where time is running out each year before i actually leave the wrenches of the high school grip out into college life.
What was 2009 like?well other than the fact that it was the last year of high school for me n being a senior,i do pleasantly recall all my reveries.So the top 30 things that were most memorable be it good or bad 4 me in 2009...
1) I had the best birthday in my entire high school life with a surprise party with cupcakes,all my best mates there in one place together,endless chocolates for presents,a birthday treat from my lou tou with chee kang and chee wei, an italian gourmet from my sister,a SONY SKINNY TEE camera from my dad and last but not least,a free ticket to catch WANG LEE HOM live from jun wu..awesome eh?
2) I entered the inter school debate and bonded with Miss Elaine, Ian Logan,Zul, Ian Michael, Deepah and walked away being called the 'whip' with best speaker for 3 consecutive times. Had a blast with them and i'll never ever forget the experience..Made alot of new aquaintences as well like Adam Ismail, Chili Padi and met up with my old convent buds in a match..interesting.
3) I entered a public speaking competition where for the first time in my entire 17 years of life,i had a dry throat,a break down and a frozen moment.This taught me a valuable lesson to be brave next time and that if i wanted to excel,i must indeed learn and train to be like the rest and not get cold feet and cough on stage hating that fear and dryness.I also overused William Shakespeare's phrase of 'the slip of the tongue is not the slip of the mind' in debate where i accidentally said the word SHIT aloud and also when i was having a fumble in front of the stage in public speaking.nevertheless,i am never facing that moment ever again i vow.NEVER.
4) I had the worst experience of having my headphones and handphone confiscated by my own discipline teacher in which i was nearly in tears,that being my new handphone after all but the finale was indeed entertaining with my mum lashing n ticking off encik zahan for the whole form 6 to see and hear.it did bring me comfort but i never brought my phone again to school
5) I actually participated in our school's sports day this year.normally i would have just feigned yet another bleeding nose as an excuse not to turn up but i did in fact join this year n entered the 100 meters race!!found out that vain is not wan to look down upon in running as that girl is like LIGHTNING!!
6) I joined alot of singing activities this year.from the choir that got me singing in SOPRANO to the singing competition that me,vain ,and tien hoong got to do and we won 2nd place!! needless to say we were all so sick of taylor swift's Love Story that none of us wud sing it for a lil while in class
7) The year in which i had a major fall out with 2 of my best guy friends. One was over a silly cheer competition in which i got called 'colourful and wonderful' names by jun wu till i never spoke to him for the remaining year till now after he cracked me up with butt remedy and endless apologies.and tho i still call him an idiot,he is after all still my nerdy idiot so yeah.u dun just lose these idiots in life when they've been with u thru many ups and downs.then there was jarred.being the oblivious one i neglected him alot tho he was always there for me be it with a smile,a joke, his camera, his guitar,his books,heck even his hair wax n spray when i had the haircut from hell yet i wasnt always there for him with almost evryone pressurizing me.
8) I and my friends especially Alyaa staged a demonstration for us fifth formers not to go back to the hot and stuff blok cemerlang which was 4 storey high with our class being right at the top.Needless to say that as malaysian history wud have it in which any malaysian demonstration big or small failed to succeed resulted in us getting kicked there for good.
9) The year when i hung out with people i wouldnt normally hang out with.I went to church on my own and made new friends plus bonded more with Kenson and Li sha,hung out with the form 4s in all the activities i joined,bonded with my prefect juniors which resulted in me obtaining 3 sons,William,Choon Tik and Tze Ing.Taught the form 3s to alter their moves in their break dance while getting to noe old Convent juniors as well.My grandpa Chee Wai and i also formed a new bond in which last year i wudnt really have talked to him yet this year he was the one that coached me on my add maths and he's the only one so patient to the fact that i asked him to run all the way down a 4 storey high building to the other end of the school for an April Fool's joke that he din even beat the crap out of me when i cheerfully rang out from above April's Fool!!!hee!
10) I rocked as the famed masked gurl in our Leo Club haunted house but in which brought me alot of problems as Amsyar's jacket was a heck big till it hung on me like a loose coat making me look like a guy when i had on my mask which got me alot of bullying in the dark..hmm.but it was major fun anyway with the toddlers scaring them crazy!!
11) I actually used guy's wax and spray on my hair after i got the worst haircut ever.Waxing was awesome but the spray was horrible.made my hair go so stiff i tot i cud actually stab someone in the eye with it if i punked it up..
12) I enrolled into Fitness First!! my first time being in a membership gym club thingy and had loads of fun being trained by my trainer while i had obtained a friend for good out of Kelvin,the bubbly trainer that is super blur but fun. ^^. Hope and pray to god that i can actually keep to this exercise regime and soon get a to die for bod.muahahahaha
13) I finally have my first Job!! oh the years in which my pleas to get a job with my friends fell on the deaf ears of my mum yet now i am actually taking over my sister's job in tutoring pupils in a tuition centre..woweee.i noe.arf arf!~
14) I had my first sleepover at Pui Yee's house where all of us had awesome bonding time and late night fiesta of chocolate marshmellows at midnight!!loved both of my babes to bits and hope we have more sleepovers to come ^^
15) I made myself a new record of jumping till i lost my shoe 3 times in this year's ADORE which rocked to the maxx with Mr. Fong from tution coming along to parteh with us and in which the Lokmanian gang won the big hamperrr!~yeah!!!
16) The year i actually fell asleep during Biology period in the lab and slept for the entire 2 period without getting scolded and since i have never ever done that before,i actually am proud of it.wakakaka.guess i partied too hard the period before..aik.
17) The first time in my entire life in which i literally scared a guy off by my looks.i am now positive that my looks can kill.not in the beautiful then die n go to heaven way but the killer woman hu will bite ur head off.and its not funny.i can tell u tat much.
18) I actually participated in painting my ex class a mucky green in colour all for the sake of a gleaming testimonial from my class teacher.was it worth it??noooo..got green paint evrywhere on myself but not the wall and in the end our class got kicked to the blok cemerlang.painting WASTED!!
19) For our moral project this year me and my friends headed to SPCA to volunteer and i was smitten.loved that huge dog that played dead by collapsing on my feet refusing to budge till i petted it.it was definitely an experience and i really hope to go back there someday since my sister just adopted one notti Fergie from there too ^^
20) The year in which i ponteng skul a lot..but mainly to stay home for add math exercises..and ooh ooh!!! i was nicknamed the ADD MATHS girl.for the first time too since i did nothing but that evry single day of evry single month but mind u,i felt like smashing it and screaming nooooooooooooo evry time i opened yet another add math exercise book..poo.
21) The year i as the editorial board staff created an awesome rapture for our class apart from my usual stories and poems in the magazine..i also helped design our class's photo shots.i noe.i love me..will definitely have a school post in this blog next year!!heeeeee..
22) I ran screaming out of the lab and went * smack into my disiplin teacher that loves to whack his own butt with his cane.asked me why and i just said they're showing women giving birth in there and the guys in the class are being idiots replaying it again n again on the computer..i need to puke.
23) There was non stop guitar playing in 5sc1 that my fingers actually started to bleed.and i learnt how to play GreenDay's wake me up when september ends on the guitar and annoyed evryone in class playing it over n over again till i had to strangle jun wu to give the guitar back to me when he ran off with it.
24) The first time i got doused with saliva water in Leo's pool party by my ex rival from debate Adam Ismail after i drenched him from head to toe with a bucket of water that wetted his phone and mp4..soweee...but guess i wasnt as bad as Vain who hugged Edwin from behind and threw him head first into the pool. *ouch
25) The year in which i got my english teacher in tution actually throwing me money even as i ran after him to tuck it back into his pants.but wud he listen??noooo..instead i get called Chocolate in his class and after a while only wud he stop after i ran away from him as he fished for money..why?beats me.ever since i dropped my candy all over the floor he's been giving me bucks to buy more candy..haha.love mr.murugan to bits tho.
26) Had the most scary night out ever when i gathered 19 ppl to come to my church event on easter..it ended alright but with my new friend jason having a major scrape on his chin bleeding evrywhere and knowing me i nearly fainted,and was freaking out majorly trying to take care of all the ppl i invited to come.hectic but i guess it was worth it in the end when my 'sons' Tze Ing and Choon Tik actually brought home a lesson to accept Christ back into their lives..
27) Had a blast with my mother's side relatives paying us a visit from France where i got to noe my cousin Cindy the gorgeous and to really sayang my uncle Philip that never failed to crack me up being a blur case with awesome antics.then there was uncle William and my cousin Linda from Sweden where i guess i found a lookalike with evryone saying Linda looks like the younger me..hmmm..but anyway bukan main the overseas chocs that rained down upon me..*sigh
28) The year in which i got my title Drama Queen when i staged the drama The Taming of the Shrew by William Shakespeare and directed it all inclusive of acts,faces,stances and the kicks...Glorious turn out which got us standing ovation from teachers tim..heeeeeeeeee
29) I turned seafood vegetarian!!! after all the EST classes, Chem Classes u wudnt expect me to still be meat lover cud u??nahhh...
30) The year i found the one..HE is the one for me and i finally found him when he had been so close all this while.and i do truly love him.from the very bottom of my heart and soul and its been an amazing year getting to noe him,and letting my heart now beat just for him.Calvin Wong.you're him.the one that finally stole my heart with evrything u do,evrything u say,evrything u think bout.and as this year come to an end,it's just the beginning of us to be my new year's resolution to treasure you and never let you go.because i am deeply in love with you..
